How do I post that if applicable?Ĭode: Select all sudo aptitude install squashfs-tools genisoimage I'm guessing you all will need to see the contents of the custom.iso. So I'm wondering what Did I do wrong here. When right click on the iso's and properties selected.BOTH ( stock and my custom one) say in Nemo " raw CD Image.BUT my custom one had " executable" ticked/checked.while the stock one that i know works.did not. ( again.I booted a stock ssd and stock thumb drive live discs of LM 20.3 cinnamon on Taco just a few minutes ago. the brand name of the ssd.but alas.same results as that "reboot blah blah" quote.Īsrock z97m micro atx mobo with latest bios with adapter cable it shows up normally as the ASMT something.internally. the usb thumb drive is labeled as " usb usb" not " Ubuntu as I've noticed.Īlso tried with the 120GB ssd but with a usb to sata adapter cable AND internally connected. There is only one selection besides my INtel 750 800GB pci express ssd. I've ran every version of LM for the past 6 years on taco without a single hitch, but Taco refuses to recognize that the thumb drive or ssd with this custom LM 20.3 cinnamon.iso is bootable as it shows a screen saying " Reboot and Select proper Boot device". So I CAN successfully install the custom LM 20.3 cinnamon iso deal within Virtualboxīut, when I use my real aka HOST LM 20.3 Cinnamon 64 bit machine ( the same one I used to create that custom iso with), to use Usb Image Writer to write the image to either a usb 3.0 thumb drive or my 120GB sata ssd ( both of which were already formatted via fat32.never had a problem with either method with the stock Linux Mint iso's for literally a decade now).it won't work in another pc. After following to the T the instructions found here I have found the only way this newly created live iso works is to use it as a live "disc" in a VM such as virtualbox ( and I must uncheck the EFI option for it to load properly.otherwise I get this weird screen talking about running something.nsh and that doesn't work)
